Modern Bathroom Retreat
This bathroom renovation is all about calm simplicity and modern elegance. The design combines soft, neutral tones with natural textures, creating a warm and inviting retreat. A floating timber vanity paired with a Robert Gordon clay basin in olive, introduces earthy sophistication, while brushed brass tapware adds a touch of luxury.
The fluted glass shower screen and full-height wall tiles bring subtle visual interest without overwhelming the space, and the soft lighting enhances the room’s tranquil atmosphere. Practical upgrades like concealed storage, a spacious inset bath, and easy-clean surfaces ensure the space is as functional as it is beautiful.
The Portofino Salvia tile from Elegance Tiles was incorporated into the design as a practical and stylish ledge. The soft green tones bring a natural warmth to the space, while the elongated format adds subtle texture. This ledge not only provides a functional surface for everyday essentials but also introduces a crafted, architectural element that ties the bath and shower zone together seamlessly.
This bathroom pairs practicality with luxury through the Caroma Urbane II range in brushed brass. A ceiling-mounted shower head delivers a spa-like rainfall experience, while the matching handheld wand provides flexibility and ease for everyday use — whether it’s rinsing down the shower, washing hair more directly, or making bath time with kids simpler. Together, the dual setup ensures the space feels indulgent while remaining highly functional for a busy household.
The vanity zone blends function with refined style. We selected the Posh Domaine 750mm vanity from Reece, pairing its warm timber tones with a Robert Gordon clay basin that’s intentionally offset to the left. This placement maximises usable bench space to the right, keeping the area practical for everyday routines.
The bathtub is framed by the Portofino Salvia tile from Elegance Tiles, giving this space its signature look. The vertical layout of the slim tiles draws the eye upward, adding a sense of height and elegance to the room. Their soft green tone creates a natural contrast against the neutral wall tiles and brushed brass tapware, bringing warmth and personality into the design. By wrapping the bath surround in this tile, we were able to transform a simple inset bath into a standout feature — one that feels refined, organic, and perfectly tied to the overall scheme.
Above, the Aulic Vienna Carita shaving cabinet from Buildmat offers discreet storage while maintaining a clean, minimalist look. The setting is finished with soft, rounded wall lights that add warmth and atmosphere, turning the vanity into a welcoming focal point.
